PNP PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION 2006, The campaign team of People’s National Party presidential candidate Portia Simpson-Miller is again taking issue with claims that two thirds of the party's delegates are supporting Dr. Peter Phillips.

Team Portia's pronouncement comes in response to a report in Sunday's edition of a local newspaper.

According to the report, Dr. Phillips’ Solid as a Rock campaign team estimates that he has the support of two thirds of the 3,415 delegates.

However, Communication Advisor to Team Portia, Vando Palmer, says the claim represents the latest attempt by the Solid as a Rock camp to mislead delegates.

However, speaking with the RJR News Centre Sunday afternoon, members of Dr. Phillips’ camp defended the figures and stated that the numbers are based on canvassing they had conducted.

The Solid as a Rock camp is challenging Team Portia to come forward with its survey results.
